About us
AdmissionPrep is a high-performance coaching company helping students take control of their post-secondary journey. We combine goal-setting, skill development, and true insider expertise to give students a competitive edge. We know the best way to help students navigate the black box of higher education admissions is to work with the people who have actually sat at the decision-making table. That is where you come in.

Compensation and flexibility
This is a fully remote, flexible role. It is a fit for a former admissions officer, academic advisor, or higher-ed professional looking to leverage their expertise for additional income without the institutional bureaucracy.
- Effective hourly rate between $45 and $55 per hour, depending on experience.
- Available shifts are from 2pm to 7pm PST on weekdays, with availability for at least one weekend day.
- We expect a minimum one-year commitment to your students. They are trusting you to see them through the cycle. In return, we offer excellent schedule flexibility, provided you are consistent and committed.
- Must have completed a Bachelor's degree in Canada or the United States.
The role
You will pull back the curtain on the admissions process, working directly with students over Zoom or phone to:
- Demystify the process: guide students through deadlines, application decisions, and program options using your firsthand knowledge of what committees look for
- Simplify the strategy: break down complex institutional requirements and help families make clear, informed decisions
- Build accountability: help students set milestones, plan backwards from deadlines, and stay on track
- Develop future leaders: build their confidence, refine their personal narratives, and help them develop long-term success skills
Behind the scenes, you will also
- Use our internal tech platform and tools to track student progress
- Coordinate with our internal teams to ensure a top-tier experience
- Stay sharp and up to date on evolving Canadian university programs and enrollment trends
We are looking for someone who
- Has the institutional inside track: direct past experience as an Admissions Officer, Admissions Assistant, Academic Advisor, or Application Reviewer
- Is academically grounded: holds a Bachelor's degree from a Canadian or US university and/or is pursuing a Master's or PhD
- Switched from gatekeeper to guide: loves working directly with students and helping them achieve big results rather than just reading their files
- Thrives under structure: comfortable managing a fast-moving schedule with high expectations and firm deadlines
- Is a natural problem solver: enjoys guiding people through stressful seasons and celebrating clear, tangible outcomes
