We are looking for passionate and knowledgeable tutors to help students excel in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics at the high school level (Grades 8 to 12). The details
- Contract role: part-time tutoring position.
- Pay: $20 to $23 per hour, depending on experience.
- Hours: after-school hours, mainly weekday evenings and weekends.
- Location: remote (Canada-based applicants only; must be a Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident).
- This role is designed for flexibility. Many of our tutors balance it with other professional or academic commitments.
Responsibilities
- Support students in Biology, Chemistry, or Physics through 1:1 virtual sessions
- Teach concepts clearly and patiently, adapting to each student's learning style
- Help students strengthen problem-solving, critical thinking, and academic writing skills
- Track progress and provide constructive feedback to students and parents
- Maintain a positive, motivating, and professional learning environment
- Follow AdmissionPrep's tutoring methodology and training standards
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Math, Science, English, or Education. Current Master's or PhD students are encouraged to apply.
- Teaching or tutoring experience with Grades 8 to 12 students (online or in person)
- Strong understanding of the Canadian high school curriculum
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
